Our inclusively cast, FREE, educational concert featured: Metropolitan Opera Tenor Adam Klein, Metropolitan Opera Baritone Richard Hobson, Soprano Jessica Phillips-Rife, Mezzo Gwendolyn Bowers and Bass Kofi Hayford. Tami Swartz Stage Director/Soprano and Michael Gamon Narrator/Violist/Violinist.

HOA'S MAINSTAGE PRODUCTION: AN ARTISTS' JOURNEY SATURDAY AUGUST 24TH, 2019, 7:30 PM - MILLER THEATER MESSIAH COLLEGE, GRANTHAM, PA
Harrisburg Opera Association Presented An Artists Journey, an evening of original music featuring Still Breathing by Adam C. J. Klein - a song cycle about an artist's lost love and hope, and Mixed Impressions by Tami Swartz - a diversely cast, theatrically staged, orchestrated song cycle featuring multiple genres of music including classical art song, musical theater, jazz, pop, cabaret and rock depicting her experiences as a mixed race human growing up in Harrisburg through her current professional and personal life. The cast included Metropolitan Opera tenor Adam C. J. Klein, television and film actor Elliott Mayer, Tami Swartz (who also directs), Rebecca Lee Lerman, Debbie Smith and Christyan Seay. Timothy Dixon, Messiah College's co-chair of the School of Music music directed and conducted with orchestrations by Adam C. J. Klein, Greg Strohman and Michael Gamon, Director of the Center for the Creative Arts at The Harrisburg Academy.

August 2019: HOA in collaboration with Messiah College's School of Music and The Harrisburg Academy's Center for the Creative Arts launched its summer educational program! Students received credit and gained valuable, real world experience working with a professional arts organization and teaching artists.

September 7th, 2019, 10 AM - HOA launched its collaboration with The Harrisburg Area Riverboat Society's Susquehanna River School with the addition of "Music Along the Susquehanna". All Susquehanna River School programs are free to the Harrisburg School District.
